Back to the Egg
A good name for an album if Paul McCartney had not already stolen it. The band played their very first show at the Egg in Albany on 9th Sep 2014, and it has been a happy stomping ground ever since.
This Family and Friends concert must be a contender for an official bootleg from this tour. The first set in particular was filled with magic. Constantly filled with details which I was hearing for the first time.
My daughter Iona arrived at some point in the middle of the night, her flight from LA having been diverted to Philadelphia by the hurricane – a slight problem as the driver collecting her (the same one collected me yesterday) was waiting at JFK. Fortunately, her flight resumed and they were re-united, although much later than expected.
During the trip, the driver told her that he had looked up who I was – and that I was the band’s photographer… So, with apologies to photographers everywhere, maybe that calls for some arty pictures.
